Purpose
Split Man ws the first of the DCPN line to be created. He was created with qualities of a human above all else, to be a friend to Dr. Cypress before he lost his mind. Early on in his development, he discovered his affinity for acting when social experiments were enacted upon him. He was skilled in hiding his emotions in his voice and his mannerisms, but his face would often reveal them. He was given the Opera Voice weapon to enhance/weaponise his voice. Towards the end of his development cycle, he donned his mask and pursued his career in the performing arts, becoming quite successful and well-known.
Personality
Duet’s seemingly undying eccenticity and confidence (as well as his “eldest” status) made him the natural leader of his group, being dependable, brave and quite unconventional in some respects. He is often quite gentlemanly and romantic, but closed off to most. He constantly feels morally obligated to protect and preserve any life wherever he can, whether they be robot or human. This heroic stance pushes him to take risks and charge headfirst into danger with very little consideration for his own safety. It is in part because of this that he needs a team to pick up the slack for him.
Duet is not an independant individual, he is strongly reliant on his friends and family for support in his leading position. This along with the troubles he had faced in the past had created a dependence for someone to confide in and to speak to regularly. This is quite possibly his largest downfall as a leader as this can be easily exploited whenever he leaves himself open.
Abilities and Features
As his name suggests, Split man is able to split in half right down the seam on his body to create a pair of separate bodies simultaneously controlled by him. His mind, however, is still a single entity, and he must focus his attention to both halves. This limits the movements and abilities of his bodies to a fairly simple level. Each half has access to a different range of voice frequencies both higher and lower than his normal voice. These can work as one for a loud but harmonious attack.
His primary weapon is his Opera Voice. When he was given his weapon his already strong voice was amplified many thousands of times to the point where it could create visible distortions to the air around him. This power can range from disorienting to lethal, as he has full control over its frequency and energy. He can also focus or spread his voice to a targeted area or into his immediate surroundings.
Along with his voice, Duet can use his pair of rapiers, which serve to work in tandem with his splitting ability. While the use of a pair of rapiers would normally be quite unwieldly, Duet is fairly proficient with both arms, even without splitting, though they remain most effective when separate.
Physically, Split Man somewhat underwhelming. Being made primarily of cloth, plastic and rubber on the outside, save for his mask, which consists of ceremic titanium. While these materials are quite soft and easily broken, they are highly resitive, making him quite immune to shocks or stray electricity. He is also extremely light, allowing for surprisingly impressive agility in evasion and movement, though most of his other physical traits still remain fairly average for a robot of his particular design.
