I could also help, depending on what you need. What are you looking for?

Mega Man X : Duality / An Update I guess
« on: May 25, 2017, 06:12:19 AM »
Sorry for not posting for a long time, I had kinda given up on the project for a while.

Anyway, I rewrote the engine, remade models, and worked on some more stuff.

While not really Duality, here's something else MegaMan related:

No problem, still working on something to do with MMX?

Right now I'm working on a MMX project which will be released open source, and after that I may remake Duality on that engine.

I just played and think this is awesome. I use Blender for 3d modelling and had problems importing them to Unity. I can export other formats, so I would be willing to help with graphics , also testing and anything else.

Sorry, that was a while back, I've changed plans now :c

Mega Man X : Duality / Zero Nightmare!

I didn't have any plans to release a demo. However, I liked this enemy so much, and he will probably not make it in the final game, so I decided to make a minigame.

I play from time to time.

I've yet to try it actually... we should have an event some weekend and all get online and play together.  :)

An event like that would be pretty fun ^^

Mega Man X : Duality / Xmas Special!

Early Merry Christmas everyone!

This year I decided to do something special for Christmas. Instead of a pic or just a wish, I thought I'd make an entire stage. This was a rushed decision, and the entire thing was completed in 8 days. I also kept track of the progress each day.

Here we go: :D

Although I have little to no experience with this sort of thing, I'd love to help!
Great! What do you think you can help with? What skills do you have?

I was trying to write something formal, but it's almost 2AM here, I'm on my second coffee and feeling pretty low, so I'll be quick and to the point.

Would anyone be interested in joining this project, or know anyone who may be interested in doing so?

I'm very excited for the livestream! Hope I can make it!

And I gave the demo a try. Amazing job by all of you!

Thankfully I didn't get any error messages, which is a good thing, but I found a few things that I should let you know:
-When a death blow is dealt by an enemy, the player won't be killed instantly, but will rather wait until the counter reaches zero. That's not very important, but it's still odd at first.
-This one I'm not sure how or why, it only happened once and I couldn't do it again, but I put an HP +30 chip in my pack, and the CrashMan counter went from 0 to -1
-Those enemies that become huge and drop on the player can jump into the same position at once

How old are you?: 18

How many Mega Man X games have you played?: 7
X-X5 beaten, X6 reached near the end, X8 here's my record:

What is your history with the Mega Man X games?:
When I was little, one of the first games I played was X5, and a while after I got X8, which I fell in love with. A few years later I tried out the collection, and finally saw the X series as a whole. I also tried X7 when I was little, but never progressed much there.

What is your computer's operating system?: Windows 10

How would you rate your computer's specs from 1 to 10?: 9

How would you rate your level design skills from 1 to 10?: 4

How would you rate your technical knowledge from 1 to 10?: 10

Do you have any experience with the Lua scripting language?: No
But I do know C#, C++ and Python pretty well.

What makes you a good beta tester?:
I do love finding and replicating glitches and try to understand the game's mechanics through them.

Do you understand this is a closed beta testing program?: Yes

Mega Man X : Duality / Playable Navigators?
« on: November 22, 2016, 03:45:25 PM »
I've been wondering almost from the beginning if I should include the Navigators as playable. They will be very easy to add, unless we're also talking about cutscenes.

So, what do you guys think? Should I completely scrap the idea, have dialogue between them and bosses, or something between those?

well joystick input would be kind of difficult but if that's what you want ill try my hand at adding it too. Right now its just the buttons and the directional pad.

Yeah, that's true. Don't worry, the d-pad is great too ^^
