Mega Man X : Duality / An Update I guess
« on: May 25, 2017, 06:12:19 AM »
Sorry for not posting for a long time, I had kinda given up on the project for a while.

Anyway, I rewrote the engine, remade models, and worked on some more stuff.

While not really Duality, here's something else MegaMan related:

Mega Man X : Duality / Zero Nightmare!
« on: January 23, 2017, 11:26:53 AM »
I didn't have any plans to release a demo. However, I liked this enemy so much, and he will probably not make it in the final game, so I decided to make a minigame.

Mega Man X : Duality / Xmas Special!
« on: December 23, 2016, 09:29:29 AM »
Early Merry Christmas everyone!

This year I decided to do something special for Christmas. Instead of a pic or just a wish, I thought I'd make an entire stage. This was a rushed decision, and the entire thing was completed in 8 days. I also kept track of the progress each day.

Here we go: :D

Mega Man X : Duality / Looking for members
« on: December 13, 2016, 06:32:12 PM »
I was trying to write something formal, but it's almost 2AM here, I'm on my second coffee and feeling pretty low, so I'll be quick and to the point.

Would anyone be interested in joining this project, or know anyone who may be interested in doing so?

Mega Man X : Duality / Playable Navigators?
« on: November 22, 2016, 03:45:25 PM »
I've been wondering almost from the beginning if I should include the Navigators as playable. They will be very easy to add, unless we're also talking about cutscenes.

So, what do you guys think? Should I completely scrap the idea, have dialogue between them and bosses, or something between those?

Mega Man X : Duality / Maverick Line
« on: October 29, 2016, 12:41:46 PM »
First of all, I'm sorry for the slow updates, I've been sick this week (and still am), so it has been hard to keep up. However I'm finally making some progress with the game. There is a level editor in the works, but for now here is the first Maverick.

General Discussion / Rank Question
« on: October 24, 2016, 11:20:09 PM »
I've noticed the Robot Master/Reploid/Net Navi/Mechaniloid ranks below every name a while back and got curious about them. I guess they are just there for fun, but could there be another purpose for them?

Mega Man X : Duality / New Model Updates
« on: October 15, 2016, 05:35:00 AM »
I've started working on a new model for Duality. For convenience, instead of writing the same thing twice, I will be posting links to DeviantArt journals that's with the updates. But I'll still update this topic every time.

Updates #1,#2, #3, #4, #5:

Mega Man X : Duality / Enemy Ideas?
« on: September 29, 2016, 06:44:19 PM »
While I haven't started working on stages or even Mavericks yet, I'm looking for a few extra enemies to add to make the game more fun.

Any ideas are appreciated ^^

Mega Man X : Duality / Introduction
« on: September 28, 2016, 06:54:35 PM »
"MegaMan X: Duality" is a MegaMan X fangame taking place after MegaMan X8, not only story wise, but also on the gameplay and graphics aspect.

This project is still in very early stages, and many core things are still getting decided. Even the title might change in the future.
MegaMan X8 has been my inspiration for a long time. I loved playing that game, but it always felt rushed and many things were missing. And that's what I'm hoping to do.
My aim is to make an upgraded MegaMan title the series deserves but has not seen yet.

X, Zero and Axl are all playable, and it's possible that more will appear in the future.

The game's graphic style will be 3D, since the MegaMan series haven't taken much advantage of new technologies (or at least the released games...)

It is still way too early to talk about the story, but plenty of effort will go there as well.

This game is trying to be similar to previous titles in the series, while also adding more to them.

The Game

While I don't have much to say about it, what I do have is a demo. So why don't you try it out yourself?

Controls are explained in the link above.

Feedback is the best way to improve the game, so feel free to let me know what you think and how it can be improved!
